We created a collage kiwi to show what we have learned.

I found it easy to get the textures.

I found it hard to create the feet for my collage kiwi. I had to choose the right shape and then move the shapes to right place on my kiwi.

I really enjoyed making my collage kiwi.

Next time I need to make another animal.

        On Sunday

On Sunday I went to my aunt's house with my dad and siblings for a swim because it was a hot day and we stayed there.  The water was brown. I said it looked like yucky water and I didn't want a swim and then we went for a play.  After our play we had a race. I came third in the race.  Then we had dinner. After that we watched a movie with popcorn and lollies. Soon we settled down and then we had a sleep.It was a super and amazing day.

I found it easy to put the dirt back on the plant and to put the plant in the soil.

I found it hard to carry the watering can to water my plant.

I really enjoyed us planting our plants altogether.

Next time I need to water my seedling.

 

Recount Writing-Saturday Afternoon

 Saturday Afternoon

 On Saturday afternoon me and my family drove to Whangarei for my sister's 7th birthday. In Whangarei we walked to ‘Flip out.’ There were lots of kids and it was loud. Also there was a tv that told us things not to do like don't bring your phone inside. 

First we walked to basketball but the tramp was not that bouncy.  It was hard to get a ball in the hoop. I found a way to get the ball in the hoop by standing on a ledge and shooting it. It worked a lot later on. 

I found dodge ball with lots of balls to throw but my sister was the first to get me. It was amazing. After that I went to see the airbag and it was huge. I jumped off the car and I faced the airbag. My brother did the same and it was soft. Eventually we went to the arcade and played lots of games but my favorite was the candy machine. It had lots of candy. It was like candy land there. It was awesome. Then we went to the park and we played hide and seek with my cousins and sister Hazel, DJ, kaya , Kullen and Margaret.  Finally we went home. I asked my nanny if we could do that for my birthday and she said, “Sure.”  

When it is my birthday I'll do the same.

I really enjoyed my day. It was fantastic.

I found it easy to get the images for my poster.

My sound letter

I wanted to share with my family what I was learning about sound.

Dear Mama and Papa

I want to share what I have learnt about sound. I learnt that sound can’t be heard in space because there is no air nor water but in a spaceship there is air so you can hear objects and people.  Also sound is made when something vibrates. Things can make a different sound like a tuning fork or a drum also a guitar can too.  Once my class did experiments and they were all about sound. I did an experiment and it was glass with different kinds of colored waters. I had a spoon and I lightly slid it across all the bottles and it made a high pitch note and a low pitch note.  All of the experiments looked amazing.  Sound travels by sound waves hitting the invisible particles in the air then it slowly flows through your ears and in your cochlear.  And then sending a message to your brain.  That's how sound moves around the air.

Aunty Karla`s house

On Sunday morning I went to stay at my aunt's house and I had to sleep in my cousin's room and I was not happy because he would boss me around.  First we asked kullen´s mum if we could play on the playstation and she said yes and we were pleased.  So then we played gta5 and we played a race an we were having fun.  Next we played minecraft and we were playing with my sister jahnel and my brother kingston and we found some diamonds and we shared it to each other so we could make stuff and kill zombies and skeletons.  Then we played teachers an I was the principal and we had assembly and we had prizes an nettula breads and we always picked prize so we got bored then we played hide and seek and I always was the last one found and I always found my brother kingston.  After that we had dinner. It was boil up an it was delicious but I nearly threw up. Then we played more Minecraft but Kingston and Jahnel didn't want to play.  Finally we went to bed in my cousin´s room.

My writing score was 19. So I am a 2b writer.

The Flood

On Friday morning I woke up with a shock because I heard some crashing, mashing and bashing and it was so noisy.  So I  had a look and I saw heavy pouring rain. It was raining so fast and so heavy.  It was making big puddles everywhere.

When we saw the flood it was on the road and our car nearly sunk at the bottom of the flood. It was gushing and rushing on the road.  I was scared, we could've drowned. We were worried. Our knees were wobbling like jelly and our hands were shaking.  

So we decided to stay inside in my warm and cozy house.

Recount Writing: On Sunday

On Sunday 

On Sunday me and my cousin rode our bikes to the dairy in town.
First I said, ¨Should we buy only two banana sprays for us.¨ Kullen said, ¨No, we need to buy enough banana sprays for all of us.¨
So we bought ten banana sprays. After that we went to Mac Donalds to get some food for our family.
Next my cousin texted his mum and dad to drive to town to help us with the Mcdonalds orders.
Then we rode back home because it was turning dark and we were not scared but luckily we had torches.
When we got home we went inside because it started to spit. The dinner was already on the table.

Dinner was yummy. It tasted like lots of burgers and lots of drink and chips in my mouth.
Finally we went to sleep in our warm snuggly and cozy bunk beds.

On Monday me and my family went to the Warehouse

because my family was bored.

First we went to find my brother a new phone. We bought him an iphone x and I saw my best friends Jayvier, Te Aorangi and Harlem. Next we went to the toy aisle for my little brother and John and me. I bought all the lego sets and they were amazing. It was so cool. My brother John bought a flute and it was squeaky. I said, ¨Keep it down.¨ Then my little brother got a bike and it was flash. 

After that we went to the pillow aisle for my nana and papa because their heads were sore. After that we scanned our items and we went out to our car to put them in. Finally we went to sleep in our snuggly bunk beds at home.

On Monday morning
On Monday morning I stayed at Aunty Karla´s house.
First we had some fish & chips and It was so yummy.
I was starving and I was so hungry. Next we went out to play rugby, soccer and Cricket. All the games looked fun. I was trying so hard to choose one game so I picked soccer. Then when I played soccer I was goalie I got three blocks It was so hard to goal for my team. After that we had lunch for lunch we had sausage rolls and chicken nuggets. It was super yummy. I said to my aunt that you're a great cook.
 We went to the table and we had some lagsana.
Finally we went to sleep.
